SIPP Plus
SIPP Plus is an individual SIPP arrangement, as opposed to the usual arrangement, which consists of a sub-trust within the SIPP Master Trust. The main reason for making a separate arrangement is that it enables a member to take advantage of the scheme pension option, which can be an attractive option, especially for pernsioners aged 75 or over.
Group SIPP
Two or more SIPP members often join together to purchase a commercial property. A Group SIPP arrangement effectively creates a pooled ownership of one or more assets, whilst still allowing individual members to have their own personal investments in parallel.
Group Occupational Pension Schemes
A group occupational pension scheme is a registered pension scheme having a sponsoring employer, for the benefit of a group of employees. Benefits provided can be on a defined benefits basis or a defined contribution basis or a combination of the two.
Pilot Trusts
The term “Pilot” or “Spousal Bypass” Trust is commonly used in the context of members of pension schemes directing by way of nomination death benefits into a trust, thereby enabling that scheme member to retain some control over the monies and benefit a range of persons according to their needs.
